Office Administrator – Part Time

We are looking for an Officer Administrator to join our small busy Peterborough based team. This will be an initial 6 month maternity cover role. This is primarily office based with working days and hours negotiable.

Reporting to a relevant line manager, your role will be to provide a range of office and project support activities. The successful candidate will be an organised individual with a relevant skill set, positive can-do approach, and a good work ethic.

There will be a variety of daily, weekly and one off tasks. This includes enquiry handling and call answering, communications support including website and newsletters, office and services support, database updates and review, plus team project support. In house training will be provided.

  • Able to use Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint, teams)
  • Willing to learn and undertake training where appropriate.
  • Able to assist with physical activities related to projects

 

Desirable

  • Experience in a similar office based role
  • Full driving licence

Summary

Job Type:Part time 6 month contract (maternity cover) initially.

Contract length: Initial 6 Months.

Salary: Living wage as follows;

  • 21 and over: £11.44 per hour. Annual Wage (FTE) £20,820
  • 18 to 20: £8.60 per hour. Annual Wage (FTE) £15,652
  • Under 18: £6.40 per hour. Annual Wage (FTE) £11,648

No other expenses will be covered.

Schedule: Core office hours are 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 2pm on Fridays. Exact part time hours within the core office ours can be discussed. Hours to fit with school drop off and collection are acceptable.

Office Location: Peterborough, PE2 7UH with hybrid working option
